Requesting a Copy of a Filed Police Report
If you are directly involved in a police report, such as being the victim of a crime, or a driver/property owner in an accident, you may request the report by submitting this form. Once your request has been received, the Records Division will contact you within 10 days to advise you of the status of your request. Reports cost $10.00 and prepare to present a valid I.D. upon accepting the report. Note: Per Gov’t Code 6254, not all police reports are available for release.
Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR)
Program is a nationwide, cooperative statistical effort of nearly 18,000 city, university and college, county, state, tribal, and federal law enforcement agencies voluntarily reporting data on crimes brought to their attention since 1930. The program is used to assess and monitor the nature and type of crime in the nation. The program’s primary objective is to generate reliable information for use in law enforcement administration.
